Residential Power Transfer Switch
The
Residential Power Transfer Switch works in conjunction with a back up
source of electricity within a residential environment. There are times when
normal utility power is interrupted. On those occasions, the Residential
Power Transfer Switch will transfer branch circuits from the utility to the
back up power supply. As this unit is permanently installed there is no need
to worry about turning off and on switches or running to the basement in the
dark, trying to remember how to get your generator power to work. Installed
properly, this unit eliminates extension cords and possible back feeds from
the generator to the line crews working outside.
The Residential Power Transfer Switch is designed for easy installation next to the existing electrical panel in either new construction or existing residential settings. The owner chooses 6 critical circuits. It is the owner’s choice which circuits they wish to select. Examples: furnace, lights, refrigerator, water pump, freezer, T.V. etc. can be run as they would normally be, once a back up source of electricity has been engaged. When the utility power comes back on, the Residential Power Transfer Switch automatically switches back to the utility power. This allows for a seamless transition between the primary power source utility and the secondary source generator.
The
Residential Power Transfer Switch can be installed rather inexpensively
in either a new home construction or an existing building.
Although this unit works best with a portable generator, once it has been installed within the building’s infrastructure, it can be used with any alternate power source.
NOTE: This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable local electrical codes and by a qualified Electrician.
